One of our family traditions is to make Thankful Lists each November. Starting on November 1st, the kids list one thing each day that they are thankful for. We end on Thanksgiving Day.
They are also not allowed to ask for/beg for/mention anything that they want for Christmas during this time. The idea is that, for the month of November, we just focus on what we have been blessed with. Here are their Thankful Lists for this year:

Your kids are so cute! I love that tradition. We may start it next year, if I remember too. :)
This is great! I remember you telling me about it, so I'm glad you posted the results. I hope you keep the lists every year...it will be so much fun to look back on them when they're adults. I've got to do this next year, remind me, will you? :)
What a great tradition! I think we will have to do that next year!
