The Lion King at the Paramount

Last night, I took Emma and Adana to see the The Lion King at the Paramount theater.  (If you haven't watched the trailer for this, click on the link.  You'll get just a tiny taste of what we got to experience.)

I was absolutely AMAZING.  The costumes, the singing, the set, the actors/actresses.  Everything was completely fantastic!  They truly made it feel like the African savannah on stage, with gazelles leaping and vultures circling and wildebeests stampeding.  In some scenes, even the grasses and plants danced, so that it wasn't just the characters telling the story, but the entire set.
We were in awe.

My beautiful girls in the stunning Paramount theater.

At intermission.
Thank you to Santa for giving us these fun tickets!  I love the theater, and I'm so thankful that I can share it with my girls!  (The only downside of the evening was running out of the theater right after the finalé, driving like wild banshees through the streets of Seattle, skidding into the ferry terminal at 10:52pm, and watching the 10:55pm boat shut the gate & pull away without us.  Sigh.  Then the 12:15am boat was 20 minutes late.  Double sigh.  We crawled into bed at 1:30am.  The curse of living on a island.)
