So much to give thanks for!

Everyone in Torah's preschool class gets to bring their mascot, Clover, home for a weekend visit.  We took Clover with us to Costco, cuz we are just pretty dang exciting hosts.

For FHE on Monday, we kicked off November by doing the Blessing Box.  For every day leading up to Thanksgiving, we calculate how truly blessed we are.  Each "blessing" is given a monetary value.  For example:  Day 1 - One out of 5 children in the world live in poverty lacking adequate clothing.  Give 2 cents for each pair of socks in the home.  Or Day 16 (our most expensive day) - In some countries of the world, most people can't read.  Are you thankful you can read?  Put in a penny for every book in your home.
It was a very eye-opening experience for all of us.  (Goodness, we have a lot of socks & coats!)  We are going to donate the money that we "raised" to our local Helpline House.

On Thursday, Nathan, Emma, Torah & I drove to Walla Walla.  It was a short visit, but it was so great to see Dad and to eat at my favorite burger joint!  (I'm sad that I didn't get to see my friend, Michelle.  Next time for sure!)
