March 23 - April 5, 2015: Spring Break & General Conference

The "Fantastic Four" reunites!
Mariann (far right) came back to visit from Texas.  :)

Emma turned *13* on March 27th!!
She had a fun group of friends over for a birthday party.

Emma decided that she wanted caramel corn instead of a birthday cake.  But it's impossible to put candles in a bowl of caramel corn, so we had to improvise.

All she asked from Micah for a bday gift was a kiss.  :)

We started off our Spring Break with a trip to see the tulips in Skagit Co.
The colors were stunning!

By the 2nd day of Spring Break, the girls & I were already getting bored.  So we took a spontaneous trip to the Lake House.  LOVE it there!

The girls had a blast on this cool playground that we discovered.

On Friday, Nathan, Torah & I flew to Utah to visit Jared.  Nathan was pulled aside at security because he had a long iron spike in his backpack!  It was leftover from when he was helping a boy work on his Eagle project last week.  The weirdest part was that after they determined that he wasn't a terrorist (not sure how that came to that conclusion), they GAVE IT BACK TO HIM!  They told him that he could take it on the plane with him!  He chose to just throw it away.

We had a great time with Jared all weekend.  We especially enjoyed meeting Rebecca, his sweet girlfriend.  They are such a cute couple.

Eating late-night crepes with family.

Micah texted me at 9:30pm to say that he finally managed to feed his sisters some dinner. (We left him, Emma & Adana home alone.)  They did a great job on their own.  I was pretty impressed with the dinner that they came up with!

Torah & I spent all day Saturday at Temple Square, listening to General Conference.  It was a beautiful spring day.

So adorable - Jared trying to help Torah try on some sparkly princess shoes.  :)

Torah would NOT leave Jared's side for a minute.  She has missed him so much!

Torah is such a great little traveler.  She especially loves airplanes!  She always spends a long time pouring over the info card in the seat pocket.
