We started out the month by ripping out our front yard. It had been overtaken by moss and was looking patchy and sad. |

The first Thursday of each month is free entrance to all local museums. So I took Torah to the Seattle Art Museum. |

I loved subbing in her class a few times this month. The class also put on a perfectly adorable Mother's Day program. I LOVE 4-5 year olds! |
In preparation for soccer playoffs, we had the varsity soccer team in our backyard, giving each other "European" haircuts. |

I actually liked Micah's. |

Mother's Day was wonderful. It started off with a delicious Turkish breakfast and some very sweet gifts from Nathan & the kids. |
It ended with dinner at our friend's house, and a Boys vs Girls sand volleyball game. We are all pretty darn lousy at volleyball. |

Much of May was spent watching Micah's team in the various playoff games. They played so well, but we didn't quite make it to State this year. |

Adana had her first piano recital, put on by her great teacher Jack. She played so well! |

The BIG news this month was Jared's mission call! He is going to the new Central Eurasian Mission, serving specifically in Turkey! We are so excited for him! |

Memorial weekend was spent in CA with our Russell family. The girls went to "look at" the waves, and of course ended up thoroughly soaked. |
Many fun hours were spent swimming with cousins! |

And eating as much In-n-Out as we could! |
It was nice to just hang out with family in the warm, sunny weather. |

And we even managed to get a rare family picture on Memorial Day. |
