I was having a conversation with Emma, trying (foolishly) to bring her around to my way of thinking. She refused to yield and persisted in asserting that she was right. (Honestly, I can't even remember what the issue was anymore).
ME: (Sigh) Emma, you are stubborn.
EMMA: What does stubborn mean.
ME: It means that you want things the way that you want them and you don't give in until you get your way.
EMMA: (thinking . . . thinking) Oh! So stubborn is a good thing. It means I'm not a quitter.

Oh boy...she will be a fun one to watch. Can we say gray hairs, and white coats, white walls, and endless games of checkers for you? Better start savin now for your trip to the looney bin.
That is hilarious!
