She wanted her birthday dinner at a local Mexican restaurant, and you know what that means - praying that the last person who wore the sombrero didn't have lice! She was SO shy from all the attention. It took a whole lotta coaxing to get this much of a smile out of her.
Back home for presents . . . this is what she's been begging for - her own digital camera. It's a cheapy, so the pictures look like something you might get out of a Chuck E. Cheese camera car. But she was thrilled.
She had to spend most of the evening fighting Adana away from her gifts. Life can be tough sometimes with a little sister around. (Notice the scratch down Emma's cheek? Yep, Adana did that.)

That's a shy smile but also an "I'm the birthday girl smile". Adana just can't understand the inequality of it all.
Sheesh! I remember her being so little. Probably Adana's age when we saw you guys last! I can't believe how big she's gotten!
Happy Birthday "Earl"! (It's funny!)
Happy Birthday to sweet Emma! The last kid that might have worn that sombrero, could have been Myron!
I can imagine Emma's (I mean Earl's) adorable giggle. That must have been where you were when Mariann was trying to break into your house last night!
So fun!! Happy Birthday Emma!
Happy Birthday Earmma! (I know how you Russells like to blend names together, at least the boys do.)
She is getting so big. I remember her castle party at 3...
I want to see a picture of the cake you make her this year.
Happy birthday Earl!
Happy Birthday Emma! I miss you and love you! Have a great day.
I have worn many cheesy resturant hats from sombreros to large fish and always have the same creepy feeling. How greesy was the last person?
Happy Birthday!
