Homecoming 2010

I was alright when my first baby started high school. I was fine when I dropped him off at early morning seminary his first day. And I have enjoyed watching him begin the "independence" process, choosing to hang out with his fun group of friends rather than watching Disney movies at home with his mama.

But tonight, waving good-bye as he & his friends walked off to their first Homecoming football game, was inexplicably tough. Thankfully, he's a great kid and his friends are nice. (That's Anthony behind him. He doesn't usually look so freaked out). I hope he has fun and makes great memories. And comes home safe & sound.

Go Spartans!

I cry so easily! I especially find it hard not to cry when I see my babies (they are always babies to their mommas) growing up so quickly. It is a good thing that you and I keep having more to replace the ones that are too old :)
Love Jared's face paint. That is enough to make any mom weepy.

He is his father's son! Nothing like showing a little school pride. Remember the infamous picture of Nathan with a "Y" shaved in his head and he would color it for the football games?? ;)
