Raising Adana

I had to quickly run a book up to Jared this morning at the high school. We live just a block away, so I was gone exactly 2 minutes.

I left Adana home alone.

When I got back, she said, "I made my own breakfast! Applesauce & Oreos."

I would have loved to watch what she did the second I closed the front door. Both the applesauce and the Oreos were up in a high cupboard. And by the time I got home (only TWO MINUTES later!), the applesauce was already half eaten. She must have bolted like a Tasmanian devil.

So basically, these devious plans of hers are pretty instantaneous. There's no should-I-or-shouldn't-I contemplation; no maybe-this-isn't-such-a-good-idea deliberation. Nope. It's MOM'S-GONE-SO-WHAT-CAN-I-SNEAK impulsiveness.

Do you know of any good convents, 'cuz I'm pretty sure it's not going to be Oreos that she'll be sneaking when she's a teenager.

First - What's wrong with applesauce and Oreos?? Secondly - doesn't high cupboard yell "sneak something from me"? You should put whatever you want her to eat as high and as hidden as possible because this sweety has shown a propensity for sneaking.

I'd bet she a lot like her momma was! Just saying. (Am I right Bunni?!) You earned this one. :) Good thing you are so wonderful now, or else one might be really worried.
