Nathan has been going after the nasty creatures in our back yard with a Caddyshack-like vengence.
He's tried gassing them (hooking a tube to our car exhaust & sticking it in their hole), flooding them, and poisoning them.
So far: Gophers-3, Human-0.
Dormant: Latent, but capable of being activated
Ocean: our psycho cat; or a global expanse of moving water

We had that problem, when we lived in Puyallup. We tried everything. We finally had to hire someone, who used a trap, and then when he caught it he left it in a little lunch sack on our front porch, gross, huh?
Try to look at it positively, at least now he won't have to aerate your lawn!
"There's no money ... but when you die, you will receive total consciousness. So I got that going for me, which is nice."
You can get these mole traps that spike the little buggers (we had a **serious** mole problem in Indiana). It's gruesome, but all of the other no-fail remedies failed. :-P
Of coure, now we have an army of woodchucks, instead, and they are MUCH better diggers. We have several *craters* in the yard. The darn things are fat, too.
