A recent conversation with a friend:
Friend: We just got a cat.
Me: Great! What's his name?
Friend: Archimedes.
Me: Oh yeah! Like the owl on The Sword and the Stone.
Friend: Ummm . . . yeah, I guess. Actually, we named him after the Greek physicist.
I think I'm going to go ask UW for a refund on my degree. That money would clearly be better spent on buying more Disney movies. And goldfish crackers. Lots of goldfish crackers.
P.S. I don't need any comments posted regarding a little Javert/Jaffar mix-up a few years ago. I've just finished my psychotherapy to get over that one.

what ever happened to naming cats "snowball" or "fluffy"??
this reminds me of my friend's Chairman Greenspan. true story.
LOL! I find it very revealing that I know more cartoon characters than real people these days! I keep telling my husband I need to go back to school so I can have a brain again!
Too funny!!
Wow..my first thought when I read that name...Arch-in-me-knees was it? I was thinking..."Why do people make up the most whacko names for people and pets?" And then to find out that it is a character from sword in the stone, and then to find out it is a name of a phychiatrist? (heh heh) Who knew? Guess my degree in massage therapy didn't prepare me for these types of things. I could tell you though if I had massaged anyone famous...or extremely hairy. (shiver)
