Billy Joel & Elton John

Here's the proof that I really was there:

Billy. Was. Awesome. The nicest, most entertaining guy I've ever seen in concert. And MAN, can he sing!

Elton was pretty darn good too (although not nearly as fabulous, nor as gracious, as Billy).

I just keep running into this guy. Can you spot him?

Here they are with their "Face to Face" pianos.

The awesome friends who took pity on a poor, pouting Billy Joel fan. Thanks for wrangling up a ticket for me!!!

Yep! That's me in the hoity-toity box seat.
Of course, sitting in these swanky seats came at a price . . .

Did I mention that I nearly got a concussion from all the wild drunken women flailing around in that little box?!?

I mean, the music was good, but C'MON! Just tap your foot to the beat or something.

It really is hard to say which I enjoyed more - watching the concert, or the concert-goers. People watching is one of my favorite pasttimes, especially when the people are sloshed and feelin' groovy.

She is frequently kind
And she’s suddenly cruel
She can do as she pleases
She’s nobody’s fool
But she can’t be convicted
She’s earned her degree
And the most she will do
Is throw shadows at you
But she’s always a woman to me

LOVE the drunk arse's. People watching is one of my favorite past times as well. Love that last Joel song. It's a keeper. I am downloading it now. Thank you so much for coming by to visit and take Mae to story time. She had such a lovely time. xoxo

I love the drunk dancers the best! I hope that she finds your blog and see pics of herself. That would be funny.

Great pictures!

And what's up with you and Dale? He must be keeping tabs on you or something. I did notice he wasn't in a special box seat like you were...but I guess 2nd row isn't too shabby.

Seriously...I almost peed my pants at the lady letting loose. Having been in the wine industry in the past, and not being a drinker, it used to always amuse me to watch people just get down right stupid.
That lady looked like Elaine dancing from the Seinfeld episode.
Glad you had a great time! Billy Joel still looks sexy in his own 80's way!

YOU ROCK!!!!!I love that you went and why exactly didn't you rock out? Some times you got to join the crazies and then you can walk away with your mind in sync.....they however are in a haze and will never remember the night.

You're just lucky I haven't posted the picture of you rocking out! Listen folks, this girl can move! I think she taught the drunks a thing or two! :)
