Kayaking Eagle Harbor

Don't worry. We haven't forgotten about our ambitious goal of kayaking all the way around our island. We did hit a few obstacles over the past few months (Christmas, illnesses, emergency surgery, new home purchase . . .). But we have repented of our slacking ways and rededicated ourselves to what is truly important in life: KAYAKING!

Anyone who can count Faithful readers of this blog will probably notice that the Fantastic Four is sadly missing a member in this picture. Let's just say that ONE of us has a bit more repenting to do, namely repenting of sleeping in when you're supposed to be kayaking!! Geesh. She needs a good flogging for that.

THIS is Eagle Harbor. The water was like glass. It may look chilly, but the temperature was actually perfect. It was so fun to paddle around all the yachts and house boats.

Here's a shot of the house that I watched being barged onto the island. They are slowly but surely making some progress on it.

A parting shot of us pointing out boats toward the mouth of the harbor. Open water. The great Puget Sound. Someday, my friends, we will venture out there. But for now, we're sticking close to shore.

A-MAY-ZING!! Absolutely amazing. I really, truly hope you are enjoying your life there. I'd trade the current 70 degree day outside for life on Bainbridge Island any day of the week. Vegas just does NOT get it. At all.
