Sunday, July 17
Sunday was a nice, quiet day of church & swimming. Joe & Katie came over in the evening and taught us a fun card game - Pounce. I rocked it! :-)
Monday, July 18

Monday evening, my mom & I took Emma & Adana to see
The Little Mermaid at the
Tuacahn outdoor theater. It. Was. Incredible! The setting was absolutely perfect for this play. The seats face an enormous outdoor
redrock amphitheater, and they flood the rocks and the entire stage with water for the play. So amazing. Adana was IN LOVE with Prince Eric. She turned to me and whispered,
"I think I love him! I think I want to kiss his lips!" That is her definition of
marriage - when people kiss lips.
Tuesday, July 19MORE SWIMMING!!

Torah loved jumping in.

And she especially loves her big brothers & sisters.

Adana was in
heaven swimming with her cousin, Ella (right) and her friend, Kennedy, from down the street (left). They laughed and splashed and did all sorts of tricks in the pool. Then they decided it would be super fun to all hold hands and jump in at the same time.

Yeah, not such a great idea. Kennedy's chin came down on Adana's head, splitting them both open. Kennedy got stitches in her chin, and Adana got 3 staples in her head. She was so
stinkin' tough, though! Not a single tear the entire time.
Wednesday, July 20
These two cousins were pretty much
inseparable. Adana even insisted on getting a matching swim suit.

Micah was pretty bored for 2 weeks without Jared, so I bought him this pool basketball hoop. It helped a little, but those boys just don't know what to do when the other one isn't around.

My sister introduced us to the yummiest shaved ice in the area, clear out in Hurricane. It was worth the drive. Mine was Raspberry Cream. (They add cream with the syrup.)
Ohhhh,
yummmm.

After our shaved ice, we stopped by yet another splash pad to rinse off/cool off. It was about 8pm in the evening, and still so hot and sunny.
Thursday, July 21
This was the temperature that my car was reading around noon on Thursday. The air wasn't actually this hot (it was more like 106), but it sure felt like it!
Friday, July 22

Did I mention that it was HOT!? Torah spent a lot of time sucking ice cubes and p
opsicles to keep cool. She had a bit of a cold and fever while we were there. I swear I can't travel anywhere without at least one of my kids spiking a fever.
Saturday, July 23
I didn't take a single picture this day. I think I was just too excited because it was the day that JARED CAME HOME!!! He took a shuttle from Provo down to join us in St. George, and I was sooooo happy to have him back. Now, if only Nathan had been there, it would have been perfect.
