If you've watched the news at all today, then you've probably heard that Seattle is in the middle of a HUGE winter storm. You've seen pictures of cars creeping along snow-packed roads and our local weathermen bundled up in their winter parkas.
I just wanted to let you know that we are weathering the storm as well as we can.

Nathan went to Costco yesterday to stock us up on food.

The school district emailed a few hours ago to cancel ALL after school & evening activities. This means Jared will miss two soccer practices, Micah will miss soccer practice, and Emma will miss basketball. More together time after a
looooong weekend. Hooray.

I took these pictures a few minutes ago, around 2:30pm. Golly, it sure is a good thing the school district cancelled those afternoon activities!

We wouldn't want anyone to trip because they were blinded by the sunlight.

Hilarious! :)
We don't have any cancellations yet, but they sent out procedures. We are supposed to get snow tonight and then ice tomorrow night. So far...nothin'.
Enjoy your time TOGETHER! Hee, hee.
We actually got about an inch of snow late this morning. Then the sun came out and it all melted. But I still have hopes that at 4am it will start dumping like Cliff Mass says it will! I didn't stand in the huge lines at Safeway today for nothing!
Well, being the skeptic I am, we didn't stock up on anything. Maybe it's my past experience with growing up on this Island, but, I am having doubts that the snow will be so disabling. Then again....I might have to eat my words. Those....I am stocked up on. ;)
HA HA! I wish we'd get snow. It looks very similar here as you have there...except nothing is green. Brown is ugly and this is January in Idaho after all!
That looks like the San Antonio snow storm that we had. They cancelled snow and shut down ALL freeways in the entire city for about 1/4 inch. Laughable. Enjoy your sun.
