Every sunny day, I walk up to get Emma from school. As we are walking home, we pass by the High School, just as they are getting out for lunch. Emma loves watching them all milling about, sitting on the grass and chatting. She especially loves to look at what the teenage girls are wearing. (Remember, she's my little Fashionista!)Imagine her shock today when wave after wave of toga-clad teenagers came pouring out of the school (it's Homecoming Week).
Emma: "Ummm . . . Mom? WHAT are they wearing!?"
Her little 6-year old brain was frantically trying to reconcile what she was seeing with her idea of proper fashion and hip clothing. In other words, she just couldn't imagine her idol (Hannah Montana) wearing such things. And she was more than a little bit worried that this new fashion trend was something she might need to follow.
*I think some people in togas are plotting against me.
