True Devotion!

Micah loves roller hockey. No, Micah LIVES for roller hockey. He barely endures the 9 months of the year that is not roller hockey season, gazing longingly at the hockey rink at the park. But May-July he is One Happy Camper! Team practices twice a week; games on Saturdays. And every other waking moment spent on roller blades. There is very little that can come between Micah and his infatuation with roller hockey.

Including his hair.

Can you tell which is the front and which is the back?

Unfortunately, this shaggy mane gets in his way when he's trying to play. It hangs down over his eyes, and with his helmet on it is too difficult to brush it aside. So this morning he asked me to cut it off. It was a tough decision, because he really likes his hair too. But the boy is devoted to his sport, so off it came.

He's already decided that he'll start growing it out after hockey season is over. I think he's pretty dang handsome either way.

What a cutie! And he gets full points for dedication to his craft! My brother shaves his head once a year and that's the only haircut he gets all year. By Christmas, he looks like Biker Santa. And he plays Santa at ward parties, so I wonder how the kids take the whole ZZ Top look!

Wow! He must love roller hockey, his hair has been long since he was a little boy...I bet it is a change for him, but he does look cute either way:)

I have a guy -- complete with double-cowlick -- who wanted to grow his hair long like Troy Polamalu. Unfortunately, long curly hair gets in the way during soccer season. So, he has a loooong tail instead (please do NOT call it a mullet -- it's a skinny little tail!).

The tail drives Mike crazy; he keeps threatening to cut it off some night. B wants to dye the tail blue, but I had to draw the line there, knowing that Mike would freak over a blue tail. :-)
