This is part of the path that leads to the beach. It is a beautiful, winding trail through bright green ferns and mossy, fallen trees. About every 20 feet or so there are little wooden foot bridges spanning the gully that runs down to the sea.
It was a cloudy, drizzly day, but that didn't phase Adana a bit. She immediately shed her clothes and headed straight for the water. She loved finding crabs just below the surface.
Jared enjoyed finding these HUGE sea snails.
These 3 best friends wandered contentedly through the muddy sand, finding beach treasures and stomping in puddles. Guess who the boss of this group is? :-)
The beach was pocked with these big puddles. They were about knee-deep on the little kids. They loved throwing in globs of sand and clam shells. Adana also loved jumping in and splashing.

How FUN! I do think that it looks a bit chilly.
I can't believe how clean they all were with all that mud! Tyler would be covered!!!!
What a beautiful place you live in!
i think my uncle Scott made those bridges for his eagle project. I'm not positive it is the right trail but i am pretty sure.

Oh goodness...looks like fun, and all I can think about is the horrible muddy mess! You know you're a mom when...
*sniff*
I miss tidepooling *so much*!! One of the best things -- no, THE best thing -- about homeschooling in SoCal was being able to head out to the tidepools whenever there was a negative tide, regardless of when that might be.
I miss Washington, too -- but you already knew that.
Is that trail by the duck pond at Battle point park? if it is then My uncle made those bridges for his Eagle scout prodject!
