Like Daugher, Like Mother

A week ago I took Adana in for her first major haircut.

It made me jealous.

For the past 12 years, I've been in the process of growing out my hair. Every 3 years, I chop it super short and donate the ponytail to Locks of Love. Then I spend the next 3 years growing it out again. I've done that 3 times, and the last time was when we were in Turkey (just over 3 years ago). It had gotten way too long and I was sick of it.

So today, I hacked it all off. And it feels so much better!

FUN!! My hair is my hobby. Grow, cut, color, perm, straighten -- it's cheap and you don't need any special rooms or equipment.

LOVE IT! I know I already told you that, but I just had to say it again.

You look really good! Think how that would have felt in Hawaii -- Oh well. I love that you donate it. I see Jared got his cut too! You did this while Nathan was out of town. Was that planned?

Oh Brooke, It's so CUTE!! I love the short hair! Your long hair was beautiful, too. Maybe my mom will get it! ha ha :o)

Your hair is so thick, Brooke! It's beautiful no matter how you have it. And I'll say again how much I like this new cut.

It is always the difference in color that shocks me more than the cut. At least now you don't have to worry about the gray ones like I do...

I think you look great, and just like yourself again.
