Month 5 Notables:
- We are out of the recliner! Well, for the most part. We are well into the "sleep training" phase of parenting, and boy howdy, she is the toughest one yet. But she is sleeping most of the night in her basket and only eats once - maybe twice - a night. Fingers crossed that by next month, she'll actually be falling asleep without a lengthy crying session each night.
- Torah is such a roly-poly. As soon as she is laid down, she immediately wants to roll onto her stomach. And she enjoys laying on her stomach and looking around. She's just starting to try reaching for toys.
- We're still breastfeeding, although I've started supplementing a bit. She will sometimes get a 2 oz. bottle during the day if she's really hungry. And I always have Nathan give her a bottle at night. I think it's important for them to have that bonding time, and it gives me a chance to focus on night time routines with the other kids. Win-win.
- This baby is a people person! She draws a crowd around her whenever we are out in public. Literally. The other day I was at the grocery store and a couple came up to coo at her. She flashed them her stellar smile, and they immediately called their friends over to see this "adorable happy baby." They all started pulling out their camera phones to snap her picture. She loved all the attention.
- I took her in yesterday to check her weight. She weighs exactly 14lbs. Still a bit on the small side, but gaining. I think most of her weight is in her cheeks. :)
