Happy 9th Birthday Emma!

My sweet Emma turned 9 years old on Sunday. The kids always think it's a bummer when their birthday falls on a Sunday, but we still made sure it was her special day. I didn't get any pictures of the decorations, but, as usual, the Birthday Fairy came during the night and covered the house in streamers.

Emma dove into her presents first thing in the morning. She got lots of clothes, a Super Mario DS game from Gma & Gpa Guisinger, and Wii Fit from us.

For dinner, Emma asked for cheese fondue. Yum!!

And for dessert she wanted chocolate fondue. Double yum!! Our friend, Mariann, just happens to have a chocolate fountain. It was a tasty, MESSY treat.

Torah was fascinated by it.

And of course she wanted to reach out and grab it. I had to act quick and lick off her fingers before she stuck them in her mouth.

After they finished off all the marshmallows, strawberries and pretzels, there was still a lot of chocolate left in the fountain. No sense letting it go to waste . . .

Happy Happy Birthday Emma!! We love you!

A few things about Emma:

She is seriously one of the sweetest people I know.

She LOVES to give and receive hugs.

She LOVES fashion, bling, and glamour. I'm pretty sure the Lord had a good chuckle when he sent a girl like this to a tomboy like me.

Emma has so many friends. I think people can sense that she genuinely likes them, and they enjoy being around her.

This girl is smart. Too stinkin' smart for her own good sometimes.

She has a bad habit of speaking in questions. Drives me insane! But I think she does it because she LOVES talking, and asking questions forces people to have conversations with her.
