GO TO THE BEACH!
"First, you have to stick your finger in your ear, like this . . ."
The adults having a rock skipping contest. Who's watching the kids??
Grandpa "teaching" the grandkids the history behind the log that they are standing on. That man is a master at the fine art of B.S.
Adana & her baba, enjoying the view. As were we. :-)
(See anything missing?)
Beachcombing at Fort Ward.
Ella showing us the crab she found. She had NO fear (as opposed to her daddy, who didn't like to touch the creepy, snappy creatures.)
George pulling Jared up onto a high tree branch (as we all prayed that it wouldn't snap underneath them.)
The wild tree men of Bainbridge Island.
Toothless Emma with a jelly fish.

What a fun day! It took me a minute to catch the missing item in the picture of Adana and Nathan. Love it!
Awesome. Reminds me of when I was 8 or 9 and my dad would take me to Fort Ward on Sundays when the tide was going out so I could throw bottled messages out into the water. About half the time, I would get letters back from people on Whidbey Island or the San Juans. Once, from Sooke, B.C.
Then my dad would take me to the Jiffy Mart at Lynwood Center (now Walt's Market) and buy us both blueberry Slush Puppies for the drive home.
