This is one of my current "I Must Have In My Kitchen" favorites! This is the best seasoning mix I've ever found. Check out what it contains:
*onions
*black pepper
*celery seed
*cayenne pepper
*parsley
*basil
*marjoram
*bay leaf
*oregano
*thyme
*savory
*rosemary
*cumin
*mustard
*coriander
*garlic
*carrot
*orange peel
*tomato granules
*lemon juice powder
*oil of lemon
Can you think of anything they missed? Me either. I love this seasoning because (1) it complements pretty much anything - chicken, beef, fish, vegies . . . and (2) it doesn't contain any salt, so I don't have to worry about it making my food overly salty. I add it to anything that needs a little extra UMPH. Bland chicken breast? Need to spice up a salad? Quick & easy baked fish? This is your answer.
Take tonight, for example. It was 5pm on Saturday evening and I had been gone since Friday afternoon. We had eaten nothing but pizza and burgers for our last few meals, so I was craving a little nutrition. But I didn't want to go to the store. It was a fill-a-pot-with-whatever-I-have night.
I emptied a can of chicken broth into my soup pot. I tossed in half a bag of soy beans, chopped up a potato and some carrots, found half a turkey polish sausage and sliced it up, then added the remains of a box of noodles to the mix. It looked good and was definitely healthy, but rather bland. What to do??? Ah-ha! In went a few shakes of 21 Seasoning Salute and Voila! A tasty bowl of soup that we devoured in minutes.
Thank you Trader Joe's!

I'm gonna have to get some of that. Sounds great!
I'm going to get my sister to buy it in Spokane and bring it home with her next time! Yummy!
Brad was inspired by your post and brought home a jar last night (he frequents the TJs in Everett, usually brings home cranberry-oatmeal dunkers and other yummy treats!) I felt badly that I already had a jar in the cupboard, but now I'll just have to use it more often.
Thanks for the tip! I'll have to pick some up, someday, when I'm next near a Trader Joe's.
