Nathan & I spent Friday night decorating the house for the spooky party. Sorry that the pictures aren't very good. My camera is seriously on its last legs (I have to keep applying new tape to keep it held together.) :-P
We hung spooky black sheeting, and scary forest paper all around the room.
Streamers, hanging skulls & monster spiders everywhere. We used the projector (in front of Nathan) to show the movie on the Family Room wall. Very cool!
Jared wanted a big bowl of caramel corn instead of a birthday cake. I ended up making 6 huge bowls. Yum!
The party was a huge hit. They ate pizza, played Ninja Tag in the dark, then watched the movie. The kids screamed so loud, especially the boys. Then they dared each other to go out into the woods behind our house. They armed themselves with bats and hockey sticks, and insisted on taking Shelby (our dog) with them.
So Happy Birthday Jared! Now we get a break from this sort of chaos for 2 years, until Micah turns 12.

How cool is that?! I'm with Jared on the no cake thing...I'd sooner have the popcorn, too!
Kylie had a great time and told me how scary it was to go out in the woods after watching that movie! Awesome decorations, you guys went all out!
Awesome party idea...that movie is still scary and was a family favorite while growing up!
