Adana is 2!

This is a day late. Her actually birthday was Sunday, the 16th.
There's really not much to say about a 2nd birthday party. Adana had no idea what the big deal was all day, but she loved the extra attention. As per Nathan's tradition (begun, accidentally, 10 years ago when we only had 1 kid and no idea how many miles of crepe paper we would eventually go through), she awoke to a house decked out for the occassion:

Here is the birthday girl blowing out the candles
on her "birthday donut."

Somehow, nearly every present that she received involved some sort of electronic noise. I don't know if people were trying to please Adana or annoy her mom. Hmmm . . . Actually, she did receive one gift - a "Sit and Bounce" - which wasn't electronic, but still provided it's own brand of annoyance for mom. (See post above)

Huh. I remember, about ten years ago, receiving some very loud toys on the occasion of Ian's first birthday. I also remember threatening to give a fire engine with a real siren as revenge; see how nice I was? ;-)

You never told me you had a blog!! Thanks for leaving a comment, so I could find the link...
She is getting so big, she is so cute. I was thinking about her all day Monday, I thought the 17th was her birthday??? I need to be better about sending carrs...Anyhow, I love the poster. I have flannel birthday banners for the boys, I add a number to it each year.
Happy Birthday Adana!
