Bainbridge Island Youth Orchestra (accompanied by the Bainbridge Symphony Orchestra)

Jared had the amazing opportunity to participate in a recital this afternoon at the Bainbridge Performing Arts center. The fabulous Bainbridge Symphony Orchestra invited the Youth Orchestra to join them in their spring recital - A Musical Heritage. It was a wonderful concert. I love the feeling of being surrounded by strong, powerful music. It was well-played and exciting to listen to. For Jared, it was such a thrill to be down on the floor, playing in the middle of it all. He left this afternoon with a renewed excitement to continue playing violin.
Here is an excerpt from one of their songs - "Russian Sailor's Dance" from The Red Poppy by Reinhold Gliere. The first part starts off slow, but it really picks up around the 46 second mark, and has a great finale!
